Sterling Hospitality provides hospitality management & project development services to Resort/Hotel developers and owners.
In 1997 Mike formed his own hospitality management company “Sterling Resort Management & Development Services” and among others was awarded the management contract for the pre-opening requisites of various award winning Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
Since the formation of Sterling Mike’s services have been contracted by various Resort groups and individual property developers in Southern and Eastern Africa, the USA, Hawaii, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and has implemented operating criteria and managed/launched a diversity of 38 properties. His Hotel & Resort Operating Criteria is sought after by some of the top Hotel Groups worldwide.
Scope of Services:
PROJECT BUILD & DESIGN LAYOUT
Advice, input and liaison with the owner, architects, interior designers and sub-contractors relating to operational issues on;
Facilities & Space Utilization. Accommodation Specifications, Front and Back of House areas, Food & Beverage outlets, Public and Recreational areas and facilities in accordance with the intended Star Grading.
MARKETING STRATEGIES, CONCEPT & IMAGE
Compilation & development of;
Brand Identity development, Concept and Logo design, Business & Marketing Plan, Collateral, Public Relations, Advertising Campaign, Promotional Events, Media Plan, Marketing Budgets, Trade Fairs, Unit Pricing structure, Sales & Marketing distribution network, E-Marketing , Property Launch.
FINANCIAL
Sourcing, compilation & implementation of;
Financial Feasibilities, Pre-opening Cash Flow requirements, Financial Control Systems, Financial Reporting Systems, Budgets Licensing & Legal Requirements.
OPERATIONAL
Hospitality procurement of;
Furniture & Fittings, Operating Equipment, Information Technology, Security & Surveillance Systems, Food & Beverage Stocks, Property Management Systems, Recreational Facilities.
Compilation/customisation & implementation of operating policies & procedures, standards of performance (SOP's);
