History
Safety installations was founded in 1993, conducting security installations at previously disadvantaged schools, hence the name Safety Installations. Our business grew rapidly as a result of satisfied customers and customer referrals which enabled us to enter the commercial market.
In November 2001 the company was afforded the opportunity to tender on various infrastructure development projects in the commercial market for construction and renovation for TFMC (Total Facilities Management Company), which was responsible for the facilities management of Telkom SA building infrastructure throughout South Africa. After being successfully awarded and appointed over a period of about two years we chose to specialized in cable support systems for Telkom Fiber Networks. After conducting numerous such contracts we noticed more and more contractors also entering this market, resulted in fewer contracts. Most of the new contracts were awarded to electrical contractors forcing us to re-strategize and further develop the company and the client base
In 2004 we opted to appoint electrical personnel with the necessary training, qualifications and accreditation enabling us to reclaim lost opportunities and further extend our services base in the commercial and industrial electrical industry. This also enabled us to compete for more opportunities with existing clients and resulted in building a knowledge base in the company to successfully conducting numerous other projects for TFMC.
Continuous development afforded us the opportunity to extend our services to the insurance industry where we have been accredited as service provider for various institutions such as ABSA, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Discovery, Santam, Hollard, Brolink, Telesure, ABSA Idirect, PSG Group, Digicall and Momentum and have further expanded our business beyond electrical installations to include PV solar installations, air conditioning, heat pumps and security installations which include intrusion systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, automation and electric fence installations. Our client base list all current customers.
We continue to strive to expand our horizons and thus expanding the company. We set high standards to satisfy our client’s needs by anticipating their needs and excellence in our service to them. All this could only be achieved through customer satisfaction, continuous effort and dedication through skills development and training.
