Bloc Outdoor started in 2011, in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded by Jacques Drake- because of his passion for timber, the outdoors and design. Jacques experience in the timber construction industry for years gave him the advantageous knowledge and understanding of timber, and how it behaves in South African weather conditions.

Jacques realized that there was a demand for exclusive quality outdoor timber furniture which could perform in the harsh African climate, which does not need to be imported.

After careful consideration, he started designing the Bloc Range. Thus, birthed the beautiful ranges which are known for their minimalistic classic lines, a practical edge and locally made.
