Eskom has launched a new energy efficiency programme aimed exclusively at residential homeowners. It's called the Residential Mass Rollout Programme and enables homeowners to have certain energy saving technologies installed in their homes free of charge (on a standard installation). All of the devices are Eskom approved, meet local or international technical specifications, and include the relevant guarantees/ replacement warrantees.
In order for homeowners to participate in this rollout they must enroll with an Eskom approved Energy Service Company (ESCO).
