The philosophy behind Big Hanna Composter is very simple - give people a reliable, efficient system to deal with the bio degradable waste problem on a localised basis. It is better to do this for a number of reasons.
Environmental
Transportation and the cost of having HGV's clogging our streets can be avoided. The local alternatives provide minimal footprint and has minimal visual impact. No putrefying waste is left awaiting collection for vermin to feed on.
Economical
With the closure of landfill sites all over the world and introduction of the concept of recycling waste treatment is becoming more and more costly. Installation a Big Hanna in a housing area gives residents control over 50% of the costs of waste disposal!
Practical
It is practical and simple because the most unpleasant fraction of the waste stream - the food waste, is being dealt with hygienically on a daily basis
Sociological
We cannot hope to reverse trends without changing our habits. Local Composting is a vehicle for education and empowerment - central solutions do not have the same impact.

The BigHanna Food Composter is designed for catering facilities, hotels, restaurants, apartments and housing developments and provides a solution to deal with the issue of food waste.
There are five models available in the range to cater for 75kg to 1400kg per week.
The BigHanna is a hygienic" flow-through" system that will process all food waste, including meat and fish, both cooked and raw.
When the machine is installed we educate the caretaker, tenants or kitchen staff.
The Big Hanna is manufactured in stainless steel using high quality components we estimate that the machine has a life expectancy of at least 20 years if serviced regularly.
