EcoGreenSA is a distribution company that provides cleaning solutions that are not harmful to people or the environment, highly effective at killing viruses, fungi, bacteria and cost effective on the clients pocket.
It is no longer necessary to use harsh and expensive chemicals that are dangerous in many ways to the people using them and the environment.
The EcoGreenSA solution applies an advanced technology called Electro Chemical Activation or ECA Technology. Electro Chemical Activation uses the power of science and nature to create a product that is a completely 'Green' water based technology that replaces the use of outdated chemicals in the cleaning industry, food and beverage production, hospitals, bottling industry, farming, and the service (hotel / restaurants) industries to name just a few.
It works the same way your body reacts to viruses and other intruders. The body's immune system responds by destroying the pathogen before it can harm the cell. The invading pathogens are engulfed by white blood cells called Neutrophils, they then produce a chemical with the water, salt and electric charge in your body called Hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is a biocide, meaning it kills organic material. Once produced by the neutrophil, it kills the virus/bacteria almost instantly.
In the production of our main product Eco-Lyte we use filtered water, salt and electricity - that's it. Eco-Lyte contains 99,69% water 0,26% salt and 0,05% Hypochlorous acid.

We can supply you with a machine to produce Eco-Lyte on site. The major benefits from this are, substantial chemical cost savings, greatly reduced carbon footprint, you produce and use as much as you like on site, your staff don't need protective equipment when cleaning, its totally environmentally friendly and its more effective at destroying viruses,bacteria etc.. than harsh expensive chemicals. This solution is used by bigger industries like farming, fishing,water sanitation, bottling plants and hotels.

We can supply you with Eco-Lyte in the same way you buy chemicals, in 1lt, 5lt and 25lt containers. This solution is used mainly by restaurants, gyms, hotels, butchers, take aways and for domestic use. The major benefits here will result in spending less money than you would on chemicals, your staff are no longer at risk inhaling and using toxic chemicals and there is no harm to the environment.

EcoGreenSA was started by myself Dylan Le Roux in 2010. My background previously was mainly in the Tourism and Film industry. This put me in contact with many different people from all around the world, from spending time with these people and travelling to different locations in Southern Africa I discovered that we are all (locals and foreigners) becoming more aware and conscious of how we are affecting our environment and ourselves by the choices we makes as consumers.
I was introduced to ECA Technology and how it is used in many industries all around the world, when I started researching it I found it was an amazing products with so many application, only requires water, salt and electricity to produce and then you end up using a product that is 99,69% water that kills virus and bacteria and is safe for people and the environment, so much so that its used to clean up polluted and toxic bodies of water.
When I found out it was not being used in South Africa, it was a no brainer and I started getting involved. I purchased my own machine in December 2010 started manufacturing and testing and we are now beginning to supply to a number of restaurants,farms,gyms and soon to be hotels, a bottling plant and the fishing industry.
The hotel industry is actually one of the better fit industries for our solution. I realised that a hotel group being able to offer guests rooms, restaurants and conference facilities that are NOT cleaned with chemicals was enough benefit to justify the change to our solution. Guests are starting to request this now.
On top of this we realised there were a number of added benefits:
- the product is used to preserve foods that are refrigerated, or displayed for consumption
- prevent legionnaires diseease by cleaning the water cooling facilities of the hotel (in place of hamfull chlorine solutions currently employed)
- used in hotel health hydros and swimming pools
- odour control of waste areas
