History:
Scan Display Solutions was established in 1996. Scan founders, Justin and Alex Hawes, saw the growth of the global and local exhibition industries as an opportunity to create a business in the visual communications market.
Since its inception, Scan has grown at an exceptional rate to become a market leader in Southern Africa.
Representation:
The Scan head office is in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
The company has branches in Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Gaborone, with distributors in Bloemfontein, Windhoek, Lagos and Lusaka.
Greening:
Scan is committed to greening and has appointed four green teams to promote eco-friendly practices throughout the company. The different branches each contribute to company greening and have undertaken to offset all flight-related carbon footprint in 2011 through various strategies - including building skylights, putting in LED lights and solar water heaters, and planting gardens.
Scan has also led the way in producing eco-friendly exhibition stands and displays in Southern Africa. Scan was the first company to offer green stand package options at Meetings Africa (2011) and designed the South African Climate Change Response Expo (2011) to incorporate a number of green innovations.
