The Chef Shop is a small friendly concern that has the best interests of the client at heart.

Monika and Andy Evans, who are ably assisted by Shirley & Melissa, own the company. Andy is on the road doing the visiting of clients. We pride ourselves on offering good service and prices.

We are able to supply the full set-up of restaurants, coffee shops, and hotel kitchens from the teaspoon to the walk-in refrigeration. We can also offer design assistance if required as Andy has 20 years experience in the building industry. Logo work and sandblasting can also be arranged. We can also supply a full range of refrigeration and extraction systems.

Deliveries to neighbouring countries can be arranged.

TRAYS PLATES AND BOWLS

• The biodegradable and compostable trays, plates and bowls are made of natural fibres like sugarcane and/or bamboo.
  
• The material is completely tasteless, has no smell and is therefore extremely suitable for packing and serving food.
  
• The sugarcane products passed several tests on their compostability and are bearing the OK COMPOST, OK COMPOST HOME and Din Certco Label.
  
• The "Food Contact Approval" certificate guarantees sugarcane material is suitable to come in touch with fresh food.

• Polyactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable and thermoplastic polymer derived from lactic acid.
  
• It is a highly versatile material and is made from 100% renewable resources like corn, sugar beets, maize, wheat and other starch-rich products.
  
• Present PLA packaging (salad bowls, drinking cup, lids, etc.) are biodegradable and decompose in less than 60 days in ideal conditions, namely in commercial composting installations.

• Does not alter the taste of the food or drink.
  
• The cutlery and drinking straws are made of biodegradable Cellulose Compounds which are innovative Cellulose blends.

• Biograde achieves a temperature rating of 117 Degrees C which exceeds the value of standard polystyrene.
