Company Profile :

Biobox Enpura is a complete waste water treatment system (typically known as a packaged plant), suitable for establishments producing from 0m3 up to 320m3 (320,000 litres) of sewage per day.

Typically, the establishment is not connected to a municipal sewerage system, and is thus responsible for disposing of its own effluent by means of a conservancy tank, septic tank or French drain.

A Biobox Enpura sewage treatment plant treats the effluent on-site and produces clear, odourless and environmentally safe water for the irrigation of lawns, sports fields, golf courses and agricultural plots - or for filling dams where wildlife comes to drink, such as below a game lodge viewing platform, or simply to return it to the environment in streams, rivers or dams. Further treatment is available if a potable water supply - for human consumption - is required.

Biobox Enpura can treat both grey water (from laundries, baths, basins, kitchen sinks) and black water (toilet water). We also process-design systems to meet special requirements - in respect of scale, or to treat other (non-domestic) types of effluent such as chemical waste or the outflow from abattoirs and fish processing facilities.

Biobox treatment plants can be installed in a matter of days creating very little onsite disturbances. Biobox will ensure that the design caters for your specific water and sanitation needs no matter where your development is situated or the size thereof. Furthermore the use of decentralised waste water treatment systems increase the value of the development.

Hospitality Experience :

Any establishment which does not discharge its effluent into a municipal sewerage system should use a Biobox waste water treatment system to recycle effluent.

Potential users include rural shopping complexes, holiday resorts, hotels, game lodges, roadside petrol stations with restaurant and toilet facilities, housing estates, mining villages, construction sites, farm labour compounds, in fact any establishment where domestic effluent is produced, producing up to 320m3 (320,000 litres) of effluent per day.

All the more so if you're in an area with high clay content soils, a high water table or sensitive groundwater areas, where conventional septic tank soak-away systems often fail, or contribute to surface or groundwater pollution.

Smaller properties are not excluded: The owner of a family dwelling which discharges its sewage into a septic tank will know that these tanks block up, overflow, and require periodic emptying. This is inconvenient, costly and leaves an unsightly scar in the lawn, garden or concrete above the septic tank.

For bigger requirements like a 500-house estate discharging 500m3 (500,000 litres) or more of domestic effluent per day, we would design an alternative system, normally the most suitable using the proven Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) technology, which produces dry waste and clear, sterilised water suitable for environmental discharge.

For very remote areas, and depending on the receiving environment, alternative technologies such as wetlands or even solar powered generating equipment can be supplied to ensure trouble-free sewerage treatment. Systems installed at Kievits Kroon Country Estate and Spa, Sanbona Wildlife Reserve in SA and Indigo Bay Island Resort in Mozambique.
