Belgotex Floorcoverings have been a driving force in the South African carpeting industry for the past 22 years. A tradition of technical research, product innovation and a close association with other international carpet manufacturers and suppliers allows us to offer a complete range of carpets, including alternative flooring types and specialty products, most manufactured locally with others sourced internationally.

Based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, Belgotex Floorcoverings is the largest carpet manufacturing operation in the Southern Hemisphere, and supplies carpets to customers across the world - from Africa to the Far East, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South America.

The variety of colours, textures and patterns available in the Belgotex product range is practically endless with styles to complement every room.

Belgotex Floorcoverings assure an "environmental choice" in flooring products, having gained full compliance to ISO 14001, the international environmental standard in May 2009.

Designed to marry environmental imperatives with performance and style demands, all Belgotex products carry the company's ENVIRONMENTAL CHOICE logo for eco-friendly production practices. They are also a member of the GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA.

The company's environmental system dictates stringent parameters for manufacturing in terms of energy consumption, water usage, air pollution and waste recycling.

Product development is geared towards producing more solution dyed fibres and yarns, which are dry processes that reduce water, chemical and energy consumption. These are carried mainly by the popular SDX and Miracle Fibre tiles in the Nexus ranges such as Baseline, Time Square, Time Zone and Rubix Cube and the Stainproof SDX ranges Georgian, Opulence and Royal Twist for residential applications.

The Green underlay is made from 100% recycled yarn or fibre, Sportec rubber flooring is made from recycled car tyres while all Belgotex carpets and underlays have no harmful VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions and meet the strict requirements for both the GBCSA's Green Label and GBCA's Green Label.
